Sources: Wolves green light Nathan Fraser deal
Wolves striker Nathan Fraser is a loan target for League One duo Shrewsbury and Cheltenham Town, sources have told Football Insider.
The Premier League club have given the green light to the Irishman, 18, going out on loan in the new season.
Both Shrewsbury and Cheltenham have registered their interest in taking Fraser for the campaign.
Fraser signed his first professional contract with Wolves in February of last year (2022).
The young forward began training with the Wolves first-team squad last season and made the first-team squad as a substitute for the first time for a Premier League match against Brighton.
However, he is yet to make an appearance for the Molineux club at senior level.
The striker has featured heavily for the Under-21 side – making 23 appearances throughout the season in Premier League 2 games.
He scored seven goals and provided three assists in those outings.
Fraser also featured in the Premier League International Cup twice and added a further two outings in the EFL Trophy last season.
There is a lot of uncertainty at Wolves at senior level, with Football Insider exclusively revealing on Friday (4 August) that Julen Lopetegui could quit before the new season starts.

It is believed the Spaniard is concerned with new restrictions on the funds he has available to spend in the transfer market.
Lopetegui is believed to have aired his frustrations to the Wolves hierarchy – and one well-placed source said he could walk out on the club “in the next few days”.
