Southgate: This Liverpool player is more creative than Tottenham star Alli

England manager Gareth Southgate believes that Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana is a more creative option for the national team than Tottenham ace Dele Alli.
Lallana, 29, has contributed with three goals and one assist in his last seven international appearances for the Three Lions.
The midfielder has still not featured in a competitive match for the Reds this campaign after suffering a thigh injury against Bayern Munich in pre-season.
The playmaker enjoyed his best campaign in terms of numbers for the Reds last season, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in all competitions.
As quoted in the Daily Telegraph, England boss Southgate feels that Lallana provides a better attacking threat for the team compared to Alli.

“In my year in charge, Adam Lallana has been our best player and we’ve not had him for the last three matches,” he said
“There are some players who can unlock defences and score goals.
“Dele is an interesting player. If you analyse his game closely he’s a scorer of goals and he’s not necessarily the link player Adam is.
“Dele’s biggest strengths are arriving in the box, timing his runs, finishing and scoring goals.
“If he can add consistency into his touch and creativity of pass into that, he’ll be a better player than he already is.”
Alli, 21, has enjoyed a fine start to the season with Tottenham, contributing with three goals and one assist in all competitions.
The attacking midfielder has struggled to replicate his club form onto the international scene as the Spurs man has failed to score for England in last seven matches.
In fact, the attacking midfielder has only managed to notch up two goals in his 21 appearances for his country.
The youngster was unavailable for the midweek match against Slovenia due to a suspension for inappropriate behaviour on the pitch in the previous international game.
In other Tottenham news, this striker has suffered an injury blow before Spurs’ clash with Bournemouth.
