Spartak make big-money move for Simunovic
By Harry Sykes
Spartak Moscow have made an approach to sign Celtic centre-back Jozo Simunovic, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun claim that the mega-rich Champions League club have lodged an enquiry for the defender, 23, after tracking him all summer.
It is said that Celtic rate Simunovic in the £10million bracket two years after signing him from Dinamo Zagreb.
Spartak manager Massimo Carrera is anxious to strengthen at the back after a troubled start to the new Premier League season — with Spartak’s title defence seeing them currently sitting 10th after seven games.
Former Juventus and Italy No2 Carrera, who won the championship in his first campaign in charge, has also lost his last two games, which were derbies against Lokomotiv and CSKA.

The Scottish Sun report that English Premier side Burnley are also very keen on Simunovic as a replacement for Michael Keane who they sold to Everton for £25m.
In other Celtic news, the odds have been slashed on the Scottish giants signing a West Ham big-money player.
