Brighton manager Chris Hughton has briefly responded to the constant speculation about his club making a potential January swoop for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.
The Scottish Sun reported that Brighton are set to bid £20million for Dembele, whilst also claiming that Stoke are interested in the 21-year-old, having scouted the player in the goal less Old Firm derby.
Hughton, speaking after Brighton’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, claimed that the rumours are only speculation at the moment.
“I’m aware of the speculation and at the moment that’s all it is,” he said, as quoted by freelance journalist Elliot Foster’s Twitter account.

Dembele has linked with a host of clubs recently, with the Daily Mail recently reporting that that West Ham and Everton are interested in moving for the French under-21 international.
Demeble had a superb first season in Glasgow, scoring 32 goals as the Hoops won their first domestic treble since 2001.
He caught the attention of clubs with his three goals in the Champions League group stages, including a memorable double against Manchester City.
Demeble hasn’t been as prolific this season, only scoring nine goals in a season disrupted by injury and squad rotation.
However, one of the goals was scored against PSG in the Champions League group stages, which may well have added more money to his transfer valuation.
