Spotted: Tottenham forward wearing protective boot after reported devastating blow

Tottenham forward Vincent Janssen has been spotted wearing a protective boot on his foot amid fears that he could miss the rest of the season while on loan at Fenerbahce.
Turkish news outlet Milliyet has shown an image of the 23-year-old Spurs striker with his foot well protected in what appears to be the Fenerbahce team’s changing room.
ESPN had earlier reported that Janssen may miss the rest of the campaign with a serious foot injury that has turned out to be worse than first feared after a series of scans.
It was understood that the Netherlands international has an edema on his right foot which is holding fluid and that the club doctors do not feel as though surgery would be a good idea as it could damage nerve endings in his foot.
Janssen joined Fenerbahce on loan until the summer last September after falling down the pecking order at Tottenham in the wake of Fernando Llorente’s move from Swansea.
The Dutchman has only been able to make 12 appearances in all competitions for the Turkish giants and this injury setback is no doubt a devastating blow for him to be able to impress Mauricio Pochettino to earn his place back at Spurs.
In other Tottenham news, a BBC pundit has claimed that this £80,000-a-week Spurs player had everyone tearing their hair out when he first signed for the club.
