'Very Spursy', 'Legends' - Tottenham fans react to Liverpool's surprise defeat to Swansea

Tottenham fans have taken to social media to react to Liverpool’s surprise defeat to Swansea City on Monday night in what is a boost for Spurs’ top four hopes.
The Reds, sitting fourth in the Premier League table, went into the clash at the Liberty Stadium as firm favourites against the side who currently find themselves at the very foot of the league.
Jurgen Klopp’s men came into the match off the back of an impressive victory over league leaders Manchester City, the first team to inflict defeat on Pep Guardiola’s side, while Carlos Carvalhal managed to guide the Welsh club to a 2-1 victory over Championship table toppers Wolves in midweek during their FA Cup replay.
However, it was the Swans who snuck the win, Alfie Mawson netting the only goal of the game as Liverpool struggled to break down the home side’s resolute rearguard, meaning the Reds remain just two points ahead of Spurs after losing their game in hand.
The Tottenham faithful were quick to turn to Twitter to thank the Swans for their help in the north London club trying to secure a top four finish this season, having been forced to settle for a point after they came from behind in their 1-1 with Southampton on Sunday.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:

Tottenham’s next game sees them take on Newport County in the FA Cup, before a run of three league games against Premier League top six rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
The Reds meanwhile face West Brom in the fourth round before taking on Huddersfield and Southampton on either side of their clash with Spurs.
In other Tottenham news, a European giant is planning a sensational move for one of the club’s stars.
