Stan Collymore backs Aston Villa ace to score in crucial match

By Amir Mir

Stan Collymore has backed Aston Villa defender James Chester to score for Wales in their World Cup qualifier against Serbia on Saturday evening.

Chris Coleman’s side host their high scoring Group D opponents at the Cardiff City Stadium as they look to leapfrog their rivals in the table.

Wales are in third place with five points from three games with their weekend opponents on seven points.

Former Villa striker Collymore believes Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale will score from a free-kick as he backed Chester to also get on the scoresheet.

Here is Collymore providing his predictions on the game as posted by Boyle Sports’ official Twitter account:

Chester has represented his home country on 20 occasions, but he is yet to find the back of the net.

The former Premier League player has been an integral figure for Villa in the Championship this season, following his summer transfer from rivals West Brom.

Chester has started all 15 games he has been involved in as he is yet to miss a single minute of football at Villa Park.

In other Aston Villa team news, this midfielder has shared his nightmare news on Twitter as he is set to miss three months of action.
