Stan Collymore delivers critical verdict on Liverpool win against Man City
By Amir Mir
Stan Collymore hailed Liverpool for closing out the game during their 1-0 win over Manchester City but was critical of Pep Guardiola’s side for an average display.
Georginio Wijnaldum scored the only goal of the game with a magnificent header as the Reds defeated their title rivals at Anfield.
It was a laboured performance from both sides, but it was Jurgen Klopp’s men who recorded the much-needed three points.
Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, who top the Premier League table, led the Reds by six points after they recorded a 13th straight win against Stoke earlier on in the day.
But it was the performances of Liverpool and Man City that Collymore offered his thoughts on as posted on his personal Twitter account.
