By Danny Wright
Former player Stan Collymore was delighted with Aston Villa’s 1-0 win over Derby in the Championship on Saturday.
James Chester scored the only goal of the game in the first half and Collymore gave a passionate response to the result on his personal Twitter page after the final whistle.
Collymore, who also played for Nottingham Forest, couldn’t help having a cheeky dig at what were once his East Midlands rivals.
“Well done the babis! A win and a clean sheet, with a Brucey bonus as it’s against Derby!” the 46-year-old said.

Steve Bruce’s side were edging closer to the relegation zone after five back-to-back league defeats but they are now eight points clear of the bottom three thanks to Saturday’s win at Villa Park.
Next up for Villa is a home tie against struggling Bristol City on Tuesday.
Bristol are one of the teams between the Villans and the relegation zone meaning it could be one of the most important matches of the season at Villa Park.
