Stan Collymore delivers verdict on Jack Wilshere move

By Dominic Toner

Stan Collymore has tweeted that Jack Wilshere’s proposed move to Bournemouth will suit his ego.

Sky Sports’ chief sports reporter Bryan Swanson revealed on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon that the Arsenal midfielder is on his way to Bournemouth to complete a switch to Eddie Howe’s side.

The 24-year-old is set to complete a loan deal at the Cherries for the whole of the 2016/17 season.

Pundit Collymore has explained on his personal Twitter account that the move should suit Bournemouth’s team and satisfy the Arsenal player.

Collymore believes that the combination of Wilshere alongside the club’s current midfielders Dan Gosling, Harry Arter and Andrew Surman will be a good fit.

Howe’s team are well known for their fluent passing and possession-based football, something that Wilshere has experienced for years at Arsenal since graduating from the club’s academy.

Bournemouth comfortably avoided relegation last season despite being favourites for the drop and are now trying to establish themselves in the top-flight.

They have endured a torrid start to the new Premier League season, picking up just one point from their first three league games.

Arsene Wenger is keen to give Wilshere a taste of regular football and will be able to keep a close eye on his progress as the midfielder remains in the Premier League.

The former Bolton loanee has been sidelined throughout his career for 890 days, missing out on 154 matches for the Gunners.

In other Arsenal transfer news, Trevor Sinclair has compared Jack Wilshere to Wayne Rooney.
