Stan Collymore explains why he thinks Liverpool will beat Manchester United

By Harvey Byrne

Stan Collymore has explained that the tempo Liverpool play at is why he has gone for a “no-nonsense” Reds victory for the Monday evening clash.

The Merseysiders will host their fierce rivals at Anfield in Sky’s Monday evening kick off.

It is a clash that will see Jurgen Klopp’s fourth placed side take on Jose Mourinho’s team in sixth and Collymore has predicted a comfortable 2-0 victory for his former side.

“The tempo at which Klopp has Liverpool playing and the fact that Mourinho still doesn’t seem to have worked out his best front four means I’ve got this one down as a no-nonsense 2-0 home win on my pools coupon,” wrote Collymore in his collumn for the Mirror.

Liverpool have started the new campaign in impressive form with 18 goals from their first seven league fixtures.

They will be looking to continue their five match winning run as they take on their most hated competitors.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been inconsistent this season and will be looking to bounce back from a 1-1 draw against Stoke in their last league fixture.

It is set-up to be a hotly contested encounter with the two side’s playing out a 1-1 draw the last time they met in March in the Europa League.
