Stan Collymore makes Twitter admission about Celtic win v Ross County
Former Liverpool forward Stan Collymore has admitted on Twitter that he was desperate to see Celtic play against Ross County at Parkhead on Saturday.
Collymore has shown a lot of affinity towards the Bhoys in the past, even though he recently revealed when he was younger he owned a Rangers shirt.
His show, The Stan Collymore Show, will in the future be doing a segment about the Green Brigade and the ex-England international took to his personal Twitter account on Saturday to admit he was gutted to not be present at Celtic Park when filming was in process.
“I genuinely can’t wait to see this on the show. Desperately wanted to be at Paradise today,” he said on Saturday.
Celtic moved 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table by brushing aside rock-bottom Ross County on Saturday.
Moussa Dembele, Stuart Armstrong and Tom Rogic were all on the scoresheet in a convincing win.
Football Insider verdict
There will definitely be better games for Collymore to see at Celtic Park between now and the end of the season, especially since Ross County are by far the worst team in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops will just be in cruise control now though for the rest of the league campaign having opened up a large gap to the chasing pack, who never really stood a chance in all truth. Brendan Rodgers now must focus all his attention on winning the Scottish Cup, but Rangers are really struggling at the moment and could be easy pickings at Hampden Park in the semi-final.
In other Celtic news, the Hoops are facing a summer transfer scrap with Rangers over this midfielder who is tearing up his league.
