Stan Collymore predicts Arsenal clash against Bournemouth
By Amir Mir
Stan Collymore has backed Arsenal to beat Bournemouth 2-1 at Dean Court on Tuesday evening.
Arsene Wenger’s side travel to the south coast nine points off leaders Chelsea in the Premier League table.
The Frenchman will be well aware that his team cannot afford to drop any more points on the road following defeats at Everton and Manchester City in December.
Since then the north London club have picked up two wins on home soil, including beating Crystal Palace 2-0 on New Year’s Day.
Ahead of the fixture, former Premier League striker, Collymore provided his verdict on the mouth-watering clash.

“You would expect them to go down to Bournemouth and score goals,” Collymore told Boyle Sports. “It will be a very good footballing contest on the deck, Eddie Howe likes his team to be open and play football.
“I do think that Bournemouth will score, but I think Arsenal will win.”

Striker Olivier Giroud will be looking to score for this third game running after finding the net in spectacular fashion against Palace.
The France international scored a magnificent scorpion-like goal to open the scoring in front of his home crowd.
If Arsenal were to drop points against the Cherries then they could see themselves drop outside of the top four by Wednesday evening if results go against them.
Fifth-placed Tottenham take on Chelsea on that day, knowing three points will be very valuable in the race for the Premier League crown.
Nonetheless, Bournemouth will be looking to build upon their 3-0 win at Swansea on New Year’s Eve as they could close the gap on the top eight with a win.
