Stan Collymore predicts Liverpool v West Ham
By Amir Mir
Stan Collymore has predicted Liverpool to beat West Ham 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds lost their last Premier League fixture in dramatic fashion, when Bournemouth came from 3-1 down to claim a remarkable 4-3 victory at Dean Court.
Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake scored the winner in stoppage time to end Liverpool’s 15-game unbeaten run in all competitions, including 11 in the league.
Jurgen Klopp’s side take on the Irons, who were thumped 5-1 by Arsenal last Saturday to pile more misery on their season.
The Hammers are one place and one point above the relegation zone going to this fixture and they could drop into the bottom three with a loss.
Former Premier League striker Collymore posted his prediction on the weekend clash on his personal Twitter account.
Title-chasers Liverpool, who are four points behind leaders Chelsea in the table, will be looking to close that gap at the weekend.
They have scored a league high of 35 goals in 14 league games, while their opponents have conceded 29 goals – only rock-bottom Swansea have shipped in more.
Furthermore, Klopp’s side have picked up nine wins this season, while Slaven Bilic’s side have recorded just three victories.
Former Reds striker Andy Carroll, who scored against the Gunners upon his return from injury, will be looking to help his side move away from the relegation zone.
In the latest Liverpool news, Jurgen Klopp has been given a fitness boost ahead of the West Ham clash.
