Stan Collymore predicts Tottenham v Liverpool

By Dominic Toner

Stan Collymore has predicted that Tottenham will record a goalless draw against Liverpool in the Premier League.

Spurs travel to Anfield on Saturday evening for a league clash and will hope to keep their title aspirations alive.

The north London club will temporarily go six points behind leaders Chelsea with a victory and strengthen their grip on second in the table.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are currently in poor form and have slipped outside of the top four into fifth recently.

The Merseyside club have won just once in their last 10 games across all competitions and Spurs will be quietly confident of securing the three points.

However, Collymore has predicted on his personal Twitter account that the two sides to play out a stalemate and a draw would suit neither team.

The two top four rivals played out a 1-1 draw in the previous league meeting in September, with Danny Rose cancelling out a James Milner penalty.

Liverpool did beat Spurs in the EFL Cup fourth-round this season as Daniel Sturridge scored a brace in a 2-1 victory, but both teams played their second string of players.

Pochetinno’s side are now regarded as the main contenders to challenge favourites Chelsea for the crown, while Manchester City have also found some form of late.

Antonio Conte’s side do not play their league match until Sunday against Burnley and Spurs will be hoping to put some pressure on them.

They will be hoping that talisman Harry Kane can step up once again after his penalty sealed a narrow 1-0 win over Middlesbrough in the last meeting.
