Stan Collymore believes Tottenham’s “woeful” record at Wembley this season will cost them in their FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea.
Former Premier League striker Collymore has backed Antonio Conte’s men to beat Spurs on penalties on Saturday evening and progress through to the final.
It will be the first time during this campaign that the Blues will play at Wembley, while it will be the fifth time for their opponents.
Tottenham played three Champions League encounters and one Europa League game at the home of football, losing two of those matches.
Ahead of the mouthwatering tie, Collymore explained what aspect of the north London club will cost them at the weekend.

“Spurs have got a woeful record this season at Wembley,” Collymore told Boylesports. “In the Champions League and Europa League, they were, very, very poor. Dumped out of both competitions.
“There will be a little bit of nervousness around the Tottenham camp in playing at Wembley. I don’t think this is going to be a vintage Spurs performance – I think it will be 1-1 after extra time and Chelsea will just nick it on penalties.”
The two defeats suffered by Tottenham at Wembley this term came at the hands of Champions League semi-finalists Monaco and German outfit Bayern Leverkusen.
The only time they managed to secure a win was against CSKA Moscow when star striker Harry Kane got on the scoresheet.
Out of the four matches played at Wembley, Kane missed one of those games because of injury, scoring only once in the other three games.
Now, the England international will look to use his experience and quality to help his team book a place in the final.
Spurs will be hoping to get used to the surroundings of Wembley because it will be there temporary home for next season.
