Stan Collymore has claimed Tottenham need two more “senior heads” in the dressing room alongside a striker of guaranteed quality.
The north London club have failed to recapture last season’s form, which saw them break into the top four in a third place finish.
They are currently sat in fifth and have also suffered elimination from the Champions League group stage.
It has become clear that the club lack a goalscorer behind Harry Kane, who currently tops the charts with nine goals in all competitions, despite missing five weeks through injury.
This has brought many pundits to claim that Spurs need to add a further forward in January, while Collymore believes that senior figures are also needed, stating the squad is too “skinny.”

Mauricio Pochettino lapped up the praise last season when the media recognised his squad was built up with young English players.
However, he hasn’t experienced the same praise this season given the club’s current position in the table.
The Argentine boss did look to take the pressure off Kane in the summer, signing striker Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar in a £17million deal.
But, the Holland international has so far failed to deliver with just three penalty goals in his first 20 appearances for the club.
Spurs will face 19th placed Hull at White Hart Lane next in the league and they will be keen to fire a few goals away against the struggling Premier League outfit.
In other Tottenham news, Collymore has also predicted Spurs’ clash against Hull.
