Former Liverpool and Nottingham Forest star Stan Collymore has claimed that Liverpool should keep hold of Mamadou Sakho this summer.
Sakho is currently on loan at Crystal Palace, having fallen heavily out of favour with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield over the past summer.
The 28-time France International has slotted into Palace’s defence immediately to great effect, and has been seen by many as the catalyst for the upturn in their results.
Since signing in January on loan the 27-year-old has played five times in the Premier League for Palace.
Sam Allardyce’s side have won four of those matches, including a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge over Chelsea, and have kept three clean sheets.
Collymore wrote on his personal Twitter account: “What can £20m get these days? If Liverpool could guarantee a better option then yes, but he is a good in box defender to be fair. For me – keep.”

Sakho played over 200 games for French side PSG before his £17 million move to Liverpool in 2013.
The Frenchman made 34 league and cup appearances for the Reds last season, and has played 80 games for the Anfield club overall, but this season he was restricted to just six Under-23 appearances.
Collymore scored 35 goals in his 81 league and cup games for the Reds, and while Palace fans will be hoping they can hang on to Sakho, some of the Liverpool faithful will hope Klopp heeds his advice and keeps Sakho at Anfield.
