Attacker must be axed: Three things learned about Celtic in win v Morton

Celtic defeated Morton 3-0 in the Scottish Cup quarter-final at Celtic Park to book their place in Sunday’s semi-final draw.

The Hoops didn’t turn in the best performance in the match, but did enough to get through thanks to two goals from Moussa Dembele and one from sub Odsonne Edouard.

The match also saw Marvin Compper make his Hoops debut at long last, as he replaced Mikael Lustig in the only change from the side which defeated Aberdeen last week.

Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers will be quite pleased with the performance, particularly that of Edouard, who turned the game on its head in the second-half with an all-action performance.

Dembele’s form continues to improve and James Forrest also did well.
