Stefan Bajcetic: Forgotten Liverpool player now worth 11 times more than a year ago despite year-long league absence
Liverpool youngster Stefan Bajcetic is now valued at £9.5million despite his last league appearance coming a year ago, Football Insider can reveal.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough year with the Reds last season, but has missed the majority of the 2023-24 campaign with a major calf injury.
Bajcetic is highly rated by Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff and was handed 26 appearances across all competitions last season.
He started the current campaign as a regular substitute in Liverpool’s first-team squad but was unable to make a league appearance before suffering a calf injury in September 2023.
Stefan Bajcetic value now 11 times bigger than last year despite not playing
According to Transfermarkt, Bajcetic’s market value has risen to £9.5million despite being valued at just £850,000 last season.
His value has increased 11 times despite his last league appearance coming in a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth in March 2023 – almost a year ago.
Bajcetic did make one appearance in the League Cup and one in the Europa League before suffering his injury in September, but only for a total of 72 minutes.

He joins a long list of talented youngsters coming through the ranks at Liverpool – many of whom played a part in the club’s League Cup final triumph over Chelsea last Sunday.
Bajcetic joined Liverpool’s youth ranks in 2020 following a £224,000 move from hometown club Celta Vigo.
