Stefan Borson: Man City could receive 115 charges email within days
Manchester City have been waiting more than two years for their 115 charges case to reach a resolution.
Man City were dealt the charges by the Premier League in February 2023 for allegedly breaching the financial fair play (FFP) rules over a nine-year period between 2009 and 2018.
Pep Guardiola’s side are alleged to have concealed payments through third parties by disguising them as sponsorship revenue.
An independent commission hearing started in September last year and ended in December, with the panel still considering its verdict.
There has so far been little information provided about when the decision could be revealed, leading to concerns among Premier League clubs about how long the case could drag on.

Man City could be about to land 115 charges blow
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider he’s always believed the longer the case went on the worse it could be for Guardiola’s side.
However, Man City have shown signs of confidence the verdict will go in their favour ahead of the panel revealing its decision.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “I think 10 months is enough now, and whatever the decision, there’s little justification for it stretching on further.
“I think that’s why people are expecting it, just simply because of the passage of time as opposed to it meaning anything about which way it’s gone.
“I’ve always said I think the longer it goes the worse it is for City as a concept. But it’s quite hard to know whether this is late or whether it’s about right because we don’t know any of the details.”

Borson previously told Football Insider Man City are spending around £25million in their 115 charges case, with the Premier League’s legal bill expected to be in a similar ballpark.
Man City 115 charges decision could arrive this week
Borson believes the verdict could be delivered this week following months of speculation around what the panel’s decision will be.
“I think it could drop any time to the parties,” said Borson.
“It wouldn’t be a big shock to me if it came in an email for release this week. Of course, it might not, but it would not be a surprise.
“Obviously, then we’ll see how long it takes for that then to be disseminated out to the outside world.”
Elsewhere, Man City have reached a settlement with the Premier League in their associated party transactions (APT) battle following their dispute around the regulations.
