Stefan Borson: Savinho among three stars Man City could sell to fund January signings
Manchester City have been linked with a host of stars as the January transfer window edges closer.
Man City beat Sunderland 3-0 on 6 December to move within two points of Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Pep Guardiola could look to strengthen his squad in January to provide extra firepower in the second half of the campaign.
Man City have been linked with Adam Wharton after reportedly sending scouts to watch him play for Crystal Palace.
However, Football Insider revealed in September Palace will not sell Wharton in January as they look to keep hold of one of their prize assets.

Man City verdict on signing Adam Wharton in January revealed
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Guardiola’s side would like to sell Savinho, Rico Lewis and Oscar Bobb in “big-money” January deals.
Savinho almost joined Tottenham in the summer transfer window, while Nottingham Forest were keen on signing Lewis.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the possibility of Man City signing Wharton, Borson said: “Well, they have watched him for a while, so it’s not the first time.
“It’s not going to happen in January. I think City will have to be quite restrained in January, unless they’re selling.
“They do have options to sell the players that could have gone last summer. Lewis, Savinho in particular, and you probably now add Bobb to that list.”

Those three players have largely failed to impress when Guardiola has handed them an opportunity at the Etihad Stadium this season.
Man City could agree ‘big-money’ sales
It has been suggested Tottenham could return for Savinho in the January window, while Lewis and Bobb are likely to have suitors if they are made available for a transfer.
“I think there are players they would like to move on if there was big money available,” said Borson.
“But before those players are sold, I just don’t think City are in a position to do multiple deals, and every other deal is £100million these days.

“I don’t think they’re in a position to do one of those deals, certainly not in January.”
Man City will get a closer look at Wharton when they take on Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday (14 December).
