Stoke City fans all say the same thing about Lamine Cisse as stats emerge from Oxford United win

Stoke City fans are full of praise for Lamine Cisse after the 23-year-old starred in their 2-1 win over Oxford United on Wednesday.

It was a much-needed win for the Potters, who narrowed the gap to the Championship playoffs to seven points.

While the second half display was perhaps a tad disappointing, it resulted in three points and gave Stoke’s fans renewed hope of promotion.

One of the best performers was Lamine Cisse, with the winger netting the opener against the U’s.

Despite Stoke’s recent drop-off, Cisse’s form has been impressive.

Going into the Oxford United match, the winger picked up an assist in the 2-2 draw against Leicester City.

Now, he followed this up with a fabulous performance against the U’s, with the attacker placing a sweet strike into the net to give the Potters a deserved lead on Wednesday.

On top of the goal, Cisse was also dominant in the attack, creating numerous chances against Oxford United, which helped them retake their lead once the visitors equalised.

As a result, many supporters took to X to praise the 23-year-old as he continues to look like a steal.

Therefore, if Cisse can keep this level of performance up, there is every chance that Stoke City can reclaim their place in the playoffs before the season ends.

The victory has left the Potter only seven points behind Wrexham ahead of a difficult set of fixtures on the road.

However, if they can get something away to Coventry City and follow this up with a victory at Swansea City, they will be firmly back in the race for the top six.

However, it remains to be seen if this victory is the start of a great run of form for Stoke City, or if it was just an anomaly against a struggling Oxford United.
