BT Sport pundit Robbie Savage has taken a playful shot at Chris Sutton on Twitter – by insisting his colleague stops “talking about Rangers.”
Savage was wishing Sutton a happy birthday and included the barb at the former Celtic striker as he asked him to “speak a bit of sense.”
Sutton has long infuriated Gers fans with his comments on the Ibrox giants and the former Hoops star seems to quite enjoy goading the Light Blues’ fans on social media.
“Happy birthday, this year please please try and speak a bit of sense and stop talking about Rangers all the time,” Savage said on his personal Twitter account.
Happy birthday @chris_sutton73 , this year please please try and speak a bit of sense and stop talking about rangers all the time 🤡

Savage tried to join the Gers in 2012 after they were kicked out of the Scottish Premiership with the Welshman offering to play for free.
The former Blackburn midfielder even offered to pay for his own travel although admitted that his media duties would mean he couldn’t play on Saturdays.
Unsurprisingly, it never came to anything with Savage sticking with his media commitments and the Gers signing Ian Black.
Football Insider verdict:
While Sutton does talk about Rangers a lot, he is still preferable to Savage who speaks about Scottish football with disdain. The pair are almost as bad to listen to together as Sutton and Terry Butcher. You can be sure every Rangers fans would be quite happy if neither Savage or Sutton spoke about the Light Blues again and saved everyone having to listen to their inane attempts at banter. Still, at least there is always the video of Stephen Craigan slide tackling Sutton and leaving him in a crumpled heap. Happy birthday, Chris.
