'Story of their season' - Prutton predicts tight Leeds clash v Millwall
Former Leeds United star and current Sky Sports pundit has said that he is expecting a tight clash when Millwall visit Elland Road on Saturday.
The Whites have slipped into a poor run of results in recent weeks, having not picked up victory in the club’s last four fixtures since their Boxing Day win over Burton Albion.
Their last outing saw them give up all three points to Ipswich Town, with midfielder Eunan O’Kane joining Samu Saiz on the sidelines through suspension as the result of a sending off for a headbutt in the first half at Portman Road.
Prutton says it looks as though the club have reverted to their old ways and are enduring a slump in form, something he feels must be rectified if they are to push on for a play-off spot come the end of the season.
Predicting a 1-0 win for Thomas Christiansen’s men, he wrote on Sky Sports’ website: “It looks like Leeds are having another dip.
“It’s been the story of their season so far, they keep getting a few good results in a row to get themselves into the top six then a few bad ones to drop right out of it.
“Millwall, however, are still the only side in the Championship without an away win all season, so Saturday represents a great opportunity for Leeds to get back to winning ways, although I can’t imagine it will be pretty.”
The two clubs met for the reverse fixture back in September, with Millwall running out victors thanks to Aiden O’Brien’s goal to secure a 1-0 win for the Lions, while the last meeting at Elland Road ended 1-0 to the Whites, Alex Mowatt netting the deciding strike.
In other Leeds United news, a multi-million pound investor is eyeing up a potential takeover bid for the Whites.
