Strand Larsen, Boubacar Traore react to new signing announcement at Wolves
Jorgen Strand Larsen and Boubacar Traore reacted to the announcement of a new signing at Wolves.
Vitor Pereira’s arrival as Wolves manager heralded a seismic change in fortunes for the Midlands club last season.
When the Portuguese manager took over, the club looked like they were doing their best to rival Ipswich, Leicester, and Southampton for a place in the Championship.
But following a strong mid-season run, the Old Gold managed to comfortably secure their place as a Premier League club.
However, things are beginning to look tricky for Wolves once again. Star man Matheus Cunha has signed for Man United, whilst Rayan Ait-Nouri has departed to join Man City.
Losing their two best players from last season will put Pereira in a position where once again, the very best will need to be squeezed from a fairly ordinary bunch.
But the former Flamengo manager has been given the boost of a Cunha replacement early in the window, although the new signing is as yet untested in English football.

Wolves sign Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo
Wolves shared an image of their new man on Instagram, captioned: “Lopez from Lobos. Welcome to the pack Fer Lopez!”
The Spaniard arrives from Celta Vigo after one season playing for the Canary Island side’s senior team, and the post was liked by Strand Larsen and Traore.
Fer Lopez a risky signing as Matheus Cunha replacement
Football Insider Verdict
Several clubs, most notably Brighton, have built their success on the basis of signing relatively unknown talent from around Europe.
And it seems Wolves are attempting something similar with the signing of Lopez.
The Spaniard made his senior debut for Celta last season, making 20 appearances for Claudio Giraldez’s side, scoring four times.
However, half of Lopez’s goals came against fourth-tier side Salamanca CF UDS in the Copa del Rey.
If the Spaniard is being brought in to be a long-term developmental project, great. If he is Cunha’s direct replacement, Wolves may well be in for a very difficult season once again.
