Stuart Pearce makes bold Jack Grealish to Man United claim: ‘I see it’

Jack Grealish looks set to be on the move this summer with Manchester United among the clubs tipped to make a move.

Having attracted interest from the likes of Newcastle United, Grealish is set to leave Man City this summer, after enduring a lack of game time at the Etihad Stadium this term.

The England international made just seven Premier League starts, notching one goal and an assist in a total of 20 appearances.

After falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola, Grealish has been tipped for a move abroad amid interest from Serie A champions Napoli, who could be keen to enjoy a strong Champions League run next season.

Pearce says Grealish would suit Man United move

While Guardiola’s men are set to part company with Grealish, cross-city rivals Man United are in for a busy summer of recruitment after suffering a woeful Premier League campaign.

Meanwhile, a texter suggested to talkSPORT on Monday, 9 June, that the England international should join the Red Devils.

Co-host Stuart Pearce responded live on air: “I can see that, I think.

“I can see him, and the swagger that he’s got being a Man United player or a Spurs player. I take the point.”

Man United must beat Arsenal to Viktor Gyokeres signing

Man United appear unlikely to sign Grealish from Man City, albeit the Manchester football divide has been infamously crossed by the likes of Carlos Tevez in the past.

But Ruben Amorim’s men are still in dire need of major reinforcements this summer, following an unacceptable 15th-place finish in the Premier League.

Man United have signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and the Brazil international should be able to improve the Red Devils’ frontline, having notched 15 goals in 33 top-flight outings for the West Midlands club.

The 26-year-old appears particularly well-suited to Amorim’s system of deploying two ‘number 10s’ in a pivot behind the main striker.

Meanwhile, the Old Trafford faithful will be particularly eager to see the North West giants buy an upgrade on forward Rasmus Hojlund, who scored just four Premier League goals this season.

Both Man United and Arsenal want to sign Viktor Gyokeres, and it is vital that the Red Devils beat the Gunners to the prolific Sporting man’s signature as they look to restore former glories.
