Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan is the most likely player to exit Leeds United next in order to make a switch to Sunderland, according to Football Whispers.
As shown on Sky Sports’ live transfer blog on Saturday [11:13am], Lonergan, 34, is expected to sign for the Black Cats before the end of the January transfer window after failing to make much of an impression since his summer move to Elland Road from Wolves.
Football Whispers, which gathers all transfer rumours across the globe and calculates the likelihood of them happening, rates it 4.0 out of 5 that the goalkeeper will move to the Stadium of Light, meaning it is very likely that a deal will go through.

The Sunderland Echo claimed on the live transfer blog on Friday that Longeran is open to a move to the Stadium of Light, but the Whites will now allow him to leave unless a replacement is found.
The ex-Preston and Wolves shot-stopper has made just nine appearances in all competitions for the Yorkshire club this season but has been criticised for his performances.
He would have no doubt known in the summer when he was snapped up from Wolves that he would have been serving as Leeds’ number two choice goalkeeper behind Felix Wiedwald.
