'Sunday will be special' - Janssen sends message to Tottenham fans ahead of Man United clash
By Danny Wright
Vincent Janssen has taken to Twitter to tell Tottenham fans he is looking forward to what will be a historic occasion on Sunday.
Spurs play host to Manchester United in what will be the final game to be contested at White Hart Lane.
The 36,000-seater stadium has been the home of Tottenham since 1899 and will be demolished to pave way for the club’s new state-of-the-art home.
Janssen, 22, hasn’t had the best start to life in Maurcio Pochettino’s side but he has still shown his emotional attachment to The Lane and looked back at his home debut when he played all 90 minutes against Crystal Palace in August.
“Sunday will be special. Here’s a throwback picture during my official home debut at White Hart Lane. What a feeling,” said the ten-time Netherlands international on his personal Twitter account.

The former AZ Alkmaar striker has found the net just six times for Spurs in 36 appearances in all competitions, with just two of them coming in the Premier League.
Janssen won’t have played a game at White Hart Lane in almost a month before United travel to the North London stadium on Sunday.
Tottenham’s slim hopes of winning the title could be over before they even kick a ball on Sunday as Chelsea can secure the championship with a win at West Brom on Friday night.
In other Tottenham news, these are the three players that Spurs should be keeping tabs on when Ajax play Lyon on Thursday night.
