Supercomputer drops new Premier League relegation prediction after Nottingham Forest loss vs Fulham
The race to stay in the Premier League continues to take twists and turns as going into the festive period.
With Wolves essentially relegated from the top-flight, and Burnley showcasing little fight, it appears that there is only one position up for grabs left in the relegation zone.
As it stands, West Ham occupy 18th, with Nuno Espirito Santo struggling since his appointment at the London Stadium.
However, the Hammers are far from down yet, being just five points off Nottingham Forest, who were defeated 1-0 by Fulham on Monday.
Now, as the Premier League heads into Christmas, Opta has attempted to predict who will go down.

Opta insists Wolves, Burnley and West Ham are most likely to be relegated from Premier League
Going into match day 18, Opta on 23 December does not give Wolves and Burnley much hope of survival.
As it stands, the Old Gold side are 99.86 per cent likely to go down, whereas the Clarets sit at 88.40 per cent.
Next are West Ham, who are currently 60.71 per cent likely to join the rest in the bottom three come the end of May after Nuno’s side lost to Man City 3-0 on the weekend.
Leeds United still have a chance to go down at 22.56 per cent, while Nottingham Forest are not ruled out at 16.15 per cent.

Finally, Bournemouth and Fulham have a small chance of returning to the Championship at 3.16 per cent and 3.09 per cent.
How many points are needed to stay up?
This year, it seems like a high points total will be needed to stay in the Premier League.
Opta’s expected points total for Leeds is 41.44, with the West Yorkshire side on track for a 17th-place finish.
Therefore, West Ham will be looking to surpass this total to ensure their survival in the Premier League is secure.
As it stands, the Hammers are only predicted to finish on 36.23 points, meaning Nuno may have to find a couple of wins out of somewhere to keep the East London club in the top-flight.
