Tamworth ace stunned by what Son Heung-min did after Tottenham FA Cup win
Son Heung-Min made a “special” gesture to Tamworth’s Ben Crompton after the 3-0 Tottenham victory in the FA Cup.
Spurs overcame the determined National League side, with the match going to extra time. An own goal by Nathan Tshikuna in the 101st minute, followed by strikes from Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson, sealed the win.
Son didn’t start the game but came on in extra time, providing the assist for Kulusevski’s goal that helped secure the result.
After the match, the South Korean star was captured in a viral photo with Tamworth defender and Sunderland loanee Crompton. The defender shared the image on X, captioning it “Special” alongside a signed shirt from the Spurs star.
Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou need to build on this result
Ange Postecoglou’s side overcame a disappointing performance with three goals scored in extra time.
Son is a fan favourite and has been a key figure at the club since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.
Despite speculation that the 32-year-old was set to leave before signing a contract extension, he has remained vital under Postecoglou. This season alone, he has made 25 appearances, contributing 14 goals and assists.

The Spurs captain has been an integral part of the team for nearly a decade, forming an unforgettable partnership with Harry Kane during their time together.
However, as Son ages, the current crop of attackers has faced increased pressure to step up. So far, they’ve struggled to fill the void, with players like Timo Werner facing significant criticism this season.
Nevertheless, Son’s recent gesture to the Tamworth player highlights his admirable character both on and off the pitch.
Spurs are aiming to reach the Carabao Cup final after a hard-fought 1-0 victory against reigning champions Liverpool in the first leg.
Meanwhile, the FA Cup offers another opportunity for silverware, although a challenging tie against Aston Villa awaits in the next round.
In other news, Lucas Bergvall avoided a red card against Liverpool to a refereeing mistake.
