‘Tells you all you need to know’, ‘Lottery winner’ – Leeds fans react to ‘1 in 10million’ Rasmus Kristensen footage
Leeds United fans have blasted Rasmus Kristensen for his “embarrassing” goal for Roma.
The Dane, who departed Elland Road on loan this summer, scored a late winner for Jose Mourinho’s side in Serie A against Sassuolo in their 2-1 win on Sunday (3 December).
Kristensen leathered an attempt from just inside the box, but a huge deflection saw the ball loop over the defence and into the net to secure his first goal for the Giallorossi.
He also won the penalty for Paulo Dybala’s equaliser just six minutes earlier having been introduced at halftime, but Leeds fans remained unimpressed with his outing.
The 26-year-old was one of many stars who exercised relegation release clauses in their contracts once their Championship status was confirmed, which did not sit well with the Elland Road faithful.
Fans have taken to social media and torn into what they consider to be a complete fluke of a strike.
One supporter noted that Kristensen’s celebration was very telling of his character.
One fan was hopeful that the goal could mean Leeds can recoup some of their “wasted” money.
Another claimed he had done more for Roma in half a game than he ever did for Leeds.
One fan feels he rode his luck with his goal.
This fan was not at all impressed with his goal and wouldn’t have him back over Archie Gray.
One supporter slammed him for claiming the goal at all considering its almighty defelction.
One fan sarcastically praised the goal as “pure skill” and hoped it would be enough for Mourinho to make the deal permanent.
Another fan did not care about the goal and wants him away from Yorkshire for good.
