‘Terminate his contract’ – Chelsea fans rip into ‘atrocious’ starter who lost the ball 12 times vs West Ham
Chelsea fans have been heavily critical of Alejandro Garnacho on social media after his poor first-half showing in their 3-2 win against West Ham.
Chelsea beat a relegation-threatened West Ham side 3-2 at Stamford Bridge after an eventful game of two halves.
Goals from Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville gave the hosts a 2-0 lead at the break as Liam Rosenior‘s side were booed off the pitch.
Rosenior has enjoyed a great start to life as Chelsea boss, and his substitutes made the difference in the second-half, with strikes from Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella bringing them level by the 70th minute.
The hosts looked the most likely to go on to win it, and Enzo Fernandez’s 92nd minute strike sealed all three points before Jean-Clair Todibo was sent off after a huge brawl erupted before the final whistle.
Chelsea‘s second-half performance was one for the ages, but they struggled massively in the first period, and Garnacho was one of the main players at fault for their woes.

Garnacho was terrible against West Ham before being taken off at HT
Garnacho’s Chelsea performances have been slammed this season, but he was handed a second Premier League start of 2026 against the Hammers on the left-wing.
His defensive frailties were exposed throughout the first half, as both of West Ham’s strikes came from down his flank and he failed to mark either Bowen or Wan-Bissaka for either goal.
The Argentine lost possession a whopping 12 times before being hooked off at half-time, with the home crowd clearly frustrated at his efforts, or lack of.
Garnacho also failed to complete an accurate cross from four attempts, while he did not complete a successful dribble or have a shot on goal and only produced a solitary defensive contribution.
His woeful showing was exemplified by the impact that his replacement, Pedro, had on the game, as he scored to make it 2-1 and set up Fernandez’s winner late on.
Chelsea fans label Garnacho their ‘worst signing ever’ after poor showing
Man United fans warned Chelsea about Garnacho’s conduct as he swapped Old Trafford for the Bridge last summer, but Blues fans will have at least expected some better performances than the ones he has largely produced.
The 21-year-old has now failed to score a league goal since 25 October, and many Chelsea supporters were absolutely fuming with his showing against West Ham on Saturday.
One fan took to X to say: “Worst performance I have ever seen a player have. GARNACHO’s contract should be terminated.”
While another added: “I think Garnacho just had the worst half of sport any individual athlete has ever had in the history of mankind.”
And one supporter wrote: “Genuinely, Garnacho might be the worst signing we’ve ever made.”
