‘Terminate his contract’ – West Ham fans explode at what Crysencio Summerville did vs Brighton

West Ham fans were left raging at Crysencio Summerville after his wasteful performance during their Premier League draw against Brighton.

Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side drew 1-1 with Brighton at the Amex, having gone into half-time tied at 0-0 with the biggest chance falling to the 24-year-old.

The second half saw the Hammers continue to knock on the door, forcing big saves by Bart Verbruggen, before Jarrod Bowen thought he’d found the winner and Georginio Rutter rescued a point for the Seagulls late on.

Regardless of the result, however, the fans were left raging at Summerville with many going as far as to call for him to be dropped from the starting XI as a result.

The final score could, and probably should, have gone in the Hammers favour had he taken his chances, leading to concerns about his capability in the final third.

West Ham dragged into a relegation battle

West Ham have endured a difficult season so far and have been dragged into a relegation battle, with teams around them picking up points this weekend.

Leeds United have picked up a win against Chelsea and draw against Liverpool in their last two games, while Nottingham Forest have showed a turn in form since Sean Dyche arrived.

After that result, the Hammers sit in 18th place, two points away from both Forest and Leeds and are at risk of being trapped in the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, ahead of the January transfer window, Football Insider revealed West Ham are planning to back Nuno with additions to help their chances of survival.

Crysencio Summerville savaged by supporters

Summerville received high praise earlier in the season, and there were bright moments to his play against Brighton, but the lack of end product proved too much for some.

Taking to social media during the game to express their frustrations, supporters labelled the winger “horrific” and “horrendous”, as they raged at his display.
