Teun Koopmeiners: Liverpool update as Juventus deal stalls
Liverpool have asked to be kept informed of Teun Koopmeiners’ situation this month, sources have told Football Insider.
Arne Slot is said to be a “huge” fan of the Atalanta midfielder and is keen for Liverpool to sign him despite the player not being a number six, the position the club are currently prioritising in the transfer window.
Juventus are believed to be in pole position to sign the 26-year-old, but talks have stalled on that deal.
Koopmeiners is keen to join a European giant before the 31st August cut-off, and Liverpool are closely monitoring his situation.
The attacking midfielder is under contract with Atalanta until 2027, but he has plenty of options to move this summer.
