‘The fans will go crazy’ – Daniel Levy to green light ‘£250m’ Tottenham signing spree
Daniel Levy could green light a “£250million” Tottenham signing spree as they look to bring in multiple new additions before the transfer window closes on 1 September.
Former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Tottenham are closing in on a deal for Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.
However, Manchester City have decided Savinho will remain at the Etihad Stadium despite strong interest from Tottenham.
Mohammed Kudus has been the north London giants’ most expensive signing of the window, having secured a £55million deal with West Ham for his signature.
Mathys Tel, Kevin Danso, Luka Vuskovic and Kota Takai have also joined Thomas Frank’s side on permanent deals, taking their overall spending to around £125million, with Joao Palhinha joining on loan from Bayern Munich.

Tottenham could agree four new signings
This article contains exclusive comment from Stefan Borson, a former financial adviser to Man City.
Tottenham are looking to replace James Maddison after he suffered an interior cruciate ligament injury, while former captain Son Heung-min has joined Los Angeles FC.
Levy is also aware a larger squad is necessary to compete with the demands of the Champions League this season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “Even if Levy doesn’t want to, he’s going to have to find a way to get the requisite down payment on four players I would think, plus the wages to take it closer to 50 per cent of turnover.
“And if they don’t do it, I think there’ll be consequences.
“One, obviously the fans will go crazy. Two, I think you put the new manager in a very difficult position, and so you’ve got a problem straight away with the new manager. And three, I just think they won’t be able to cope with the first half of the season.
“The first half of the season for any of those teams in the Champions League and especially a team like Spurs, who haven’t been there for a couple of years and haven’t been there in that format, they’ve got almost certainly because they’re likely to finish in the top 24 they’ve got almost certainly 10 games before the end of January in the Champions League, they’ve got the internationals messing up the whole thing and they’ve got so many games before you can get players in in January.
“So, they can’t risk it. I say Spurs will spend big in the next two weeks. And by big, I really mean, four players at £50million or above.
“I think they’ll spend easily £200-250million headline.”

Tottenham stance on Aleksandar Mitrovic deal revealed
In terms of other transfer activity, Brown told Football Insider Tottenham are unlikely to pursue a move for Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Leeds United had been heavily linked with the 30-year-old, but they have now signed former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer.
Mitrovic could leave Al-Hilal this summer after they signed Darwin Nunez from Liverpool.
