The games Sasa Lukic could miss as Fulham receive crushing injury news
Marco Silva is set to be without midfielder Sasa Lukic for some key matches after Fulham received injury news on their star.
Despite Ryan Sessegnon’s opener, Fulham lost 3-1 to Bournemouth to fall to back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.
Fulham defender Calvin Bassey is impressing despite the Cottagers’ mixed form which sees them sit in 14th place with eight points from seven games.
Rodrigo Muniz is already out for Fulham alongside Raul Jimenez and Kenny Tete who all missed the trip to Bournemouth, and Silva has now been handed a fresh injury blow on Lukic.

Sasa Lukic could be out until November international break
Lukic was forced off after just 14 minutes at Bournemouth, to be replaced by Tom Cairney in midfield.
As per Sport Witness [7 October], Serbia manager Dragan Stojkovic has told the media that Lukic will not be available for his country during the international break and is set for weeks on the sidelines.
“Lukic has an injury to the adductor of his left leg, with a break between four and six weeks,” Stojkovic said.
“We certainly couldn’t count on him against Albania due to the suspension.”
The 29-year-old has started every Premier League match for Fulham so far, but that run now looks set to end.
The games Lukic could miss amid injury blow
If Lukic is out for six weeks, it would mean the midfielder misses five Fulham fixtures, and faces a race to be fit for their home match against Sunderland after the November international break.
Match | Competition | Date |
Fulham vs Arsenal | Premier League | 18th October |
Newcastle vs Fulham | Premier League | 25th October |
Wycombe vs Fulham | Carabao Cup | 28th October |
Fulham vs Wolves | Premier League | 1st November |
Everton vs Fulham | Premier League | 8th November |
Fulham’s recent form means that fixture against Wolves at Craven Cottage looks the most crucial one which Lukic will miss.
A trip to League One Wycombe in the Carabao Cup is a chance for Fulham to progress in the competition, but Lukic likely would not have played much part in that contest if fit.
Cairney is likely to deputise in his absence, with Emile Smith-Rowe a more attacking option for Silva to call upon.
