The Leicester interception king who tops the stats ahead of Koscielny, Monreal and Walker

Leicester midfielder N’Golo Kante is the Premier League interception king, statistics reveal.
The 24-year-old Frenchman has won the ball more than any other player in the top flight this season as he proves an increasingly influential figure in his team’s climb to the Premier League summit.
Kante has made 64 interceptions in the competition, 10 more than his closest rival Yohan Cabaye (54), who is narrowly ahead of third-placed Laurent Koscielny (51).
Kante, who joined Leicester from French side Caen last summer in a £6.3million deal, was outstanding as the league leaders swept Swansea aside 3-0 on Saturday.
The box-to-box midfielder was a substitute in four of Leicester’s opening five Premier League clashes this season but has subsequently started all 10 of their top-flight matches in central midfield.
He has been crucial in winning the ball and launching the counter-attacks that have been finished off in such style by Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.
