'Worst of them all', 'Dreadful' - Celtic fans blast senior player after loss v Kilmarnock
Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to blast goalkeeper Dorus de Vries for his performance in the 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday
The Hoops deservedly went down to their second league defeat of the season, with the only goal of the match scored by the outstanding Youssouf Mulumbu.
De Vries, 37, started his second game in a week as replacement for Craig Gordon, and despite making a few saves towards the end of the game as Kilmarnock hit the Hoops on the break, supporters weren’t terribly impressed by what they saw from the 37-year-old.
Here are some of the best reactions to the senior player’s performance from Twitter:
Too slow all day.
Constantly let them get into position.
Nobody willing to take on a man. Forrest did it once, beat him well led to an opening- did he do it again – no
And De Vries will cost us points

All the Gordon haters going to realise how much his shot stopping saves us. De vries is poor keeper said it last year when he got in. Chocolate wrists.

Also De Vries. Seem to remember Rodgers signed him because he didn’t thing Gordon was good enough with his feet ????????????

De Vries has been watching Gordon for too long and makes the same mistakes!

Every single player should hang their head in shame, not one deserving of the jersey today. Griffiths 10x the player of Dembele, De Vries is gutter, Hendry pathetic…. need I go on

Not at fault for the goal, but de Vries has been dreadful all afternoon so far

we will not come back from this today, team has been shocking, De Vries is the worst of them all

The Bhoys found the match difficult going, as they were badly affected by injuries suffered in the first-half which lead to both Dedryck Boyata and Kristoffer Ajer having to go off.
Chances for the Hoops were at a premium, with the only shot on target not arriving until the 90th minute, when an Oliiver Ntcham shot was saved, as Moussa Dembele rarely featured.
Brendan Rodgers will now have to pick his team up for some big games in the weeks ahead, with cup ties against both Partick Thistle and Zenit on the agenda, and an increasingly large injury list to deal with.
