‘The worst’ – Rangers fans swarm social media to slam player who ‘offered nothing’ vs Livingston

Rangers supporters have been sharing their frustration on one player during the Gers’ win over Livingston.

Under pressure Rangers boss Russell Martin celebrated his first win in charge of the club in the Scottish Premiership.

However, Martin needed a 94th-minute winner from Max Aarons after Mo Sylla’s second-half goal cancelled out James Tavernier’s first-half strike.

Tavernier had a penalty saved in the first half and Derek Cornelius had a goal ruled out for handball as Rangers made it hard work for themselves at Livingston.

Thelo Aasgaard slammed by Rangers fans vs Livingston

Thelo Aasgaard joined Rangers from Luton as one of Martin’s 11 signings during the transfer window, but the 23-year-old has yet to contribute a goal or assist for the club.

Aasgaard flopped in the Glasgow derby against Celtic, and fans have since remained unconvinced that the Norwegian is up to the required standard.

One fan posted: “I’ve been saying for weeks, Aasgaard looks hopeless. He’s slow and cumbersome and offers absolutely nothing.”

Another fan said: “Another no show from Aasgaard and still not entirely sure exactly what he is supposed to be doing.”

Aasgaard another waste of money,” one posted.

Another fan was fuming when they posted: “What does Aasgaard actually bring to the team? The boy is rotten.”

Whilst a fan posted: “Aasgaard just seems to pick the safe pass every time as to not lose the ball. He offers very little.”

Aasgaard is nowhere near the level of player I thought we were getting,” another fan stated.

Aasgaard provides no impact as Rangers leave it late

Aasgaard has now started the past six matches for Rangers, but the midfielder is offering little going forward from midfield.

Against Livingston, Aasgaard only had one shot in a match that the Gers dominated, with four big chances created across the 90 minutes.

Aasgaard needs to be providing more in a Rangers shirt, with fans suggesting 18-year-old Finlay Curtis should be handed an opportunity.

Rangers continue their Europa League campaign next with a trip to Sturm Graz.
