‘There’s murder in his eyes’ – Fans taken aback by Jurgen Klopp’s bust-up with presenter after 2-0 Liverpool win

Fans have berated “snowflake” Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp for his post-match bust-up with Amazon host Marcus Buckland.

The Reds were far from their best against Sheffield United on Wednesday (6 December), but a first-half Virgil van Dijk strike and a late Dominik Szoboszlai effort secured a 2-0 win and all three points at Bramall Lane.

Buckland joked that 12:30, the time of Liverpool’s upcoming game against Crystal Palace on Saturday (9 December), was his “favourite” kick-off slot – which sparked fury from the German.

Klopp lashed back and called the host “ignorant” and suggested he was being disrespectful, with pundits Steve McManaman and Billy Sharp looking on awkwardly next to him while Buckland took the heat.

He has frequently bemoaned the Premier League schedule that has seen the Reds having to balance European football and early afternoon fixtures.

Fans have taken to social media in response to the clash, and many think Klopp went too far.

This supporter pondered if any other Premier League manager would give this type of response to the joke.

This fan slammed Klopp for taking it too personally.

One fan is eager to see the “unbearable” boss out of the league for good.

This fan has seen enough to know how much he dislikes Klopp.

Another fan was baffled by the manager’s “disrespect” and questioned if there was anything good about him at all.

One supporter is shocked that the “terrifying” Klopp has yet to take any casualties during interviews.

One fan simply labelled him as a “big baby”.

This supporter believes he took the quip too much to heart.
