‘There’s nothing more I hate’ – Trent Alexander-Arnold responds to message from Real Madrid star
Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold has responded to an update provided by an injured teammate.
Since Alexander-Arnold joined Madrid from Liverpool, he has made four La Liga appearances, including two starts.
Xabi Alonso’s men sit at the top of the Spanish top flight, two points clear of fierce rivals Barcelona, having earned four successive wins.
Meanwhile, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Manchester City are desperate to retain Erling Haaland despite interest from Real Madrid.

Antonio Rudiger provides update after injury setback
While Alexander-Arnold is still adjusting to La Liga, fellow Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has suffered a leg injury which is set to keep him out of action for three months.
Consequently, the former Chelsea man will be absent when Alonso’s men face Liverpool in the Champions League on 4 November.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, 14 September, Rudiger wrote: “First of all, thank you so much for all your get well soon messages.
“I really appreciate every single one. As you all know there’s nothing I hate more than not being able to be out there with my teammates, fighting for the club.
“But one thing’s for sure: I’ll give everything to be back at 100 per cent as soon as possible. I’ve been through setbacks before and I’ll rise again. Always.”
Former Liverpool ace Alexander-Arnold replied by commenting with two red heart emojis.
Trent Alexander-Arnold faces a huge month with Real Madrid
His relative lack of involvement for Real Madrid in La Liga has jeopardised Alexander-Arnold’s England credentials, as he was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s most recent Three Lions squad.

Furthermore, fellow right-back Reece James performed well as Tuchel’s men edged nearer to World Cup qualification with successive wins over Andorra and Serbia.
However, the rest of September provides Alexander-Arnold with a huge opportunity to prove to Alonso that he should be starting over Dani Carvajal more regularly.
Real Madrid begin their Champions League campaign with a clash against French giants Marseille on Tuesday, 16 September, before their second European game takes them to Kazakhstan, where they face Kairat Almaty on 30 September.
Meanwhile, if Alexander-Arnold is trusted with game time against fierce rivals Atletico Madrid on 27 September, he can make himself a hero early on in his Los Blancos career.
But unlike when he was at Liverpool, the England international is not his club’s undisputed first-choice fullback, thanks to the presence of Carvajal.
