‘They hold all the cards’ – Chelsea are working with Garnacho’s agent to agree deal
Chelsea are working with Alejandro Garnacho’s agent to agree a deal as they currently “hold all the cards” in the negotiations with Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim has made it clear the Argentina international can leave the 20-time English champions if the right deal can be struck.
Football Insider revealed on 8 August Man United want £50million to sell Garnacho this summer.
The fee from a potential exit for the 21-year-old would be worth pure profit due to his homegrown status.
However, Chelsea are believed to value the winger, whose contract at Old Trafford expires in 2028, at closer to £30million.
Garnacho started in 36 of his 58 outings last season, where he registered 11 goals and 10 assists.

Chelsea to agree £30m Alejandro Garnacho deal
This article contains exclusive comment from Stefan Borson, a former financial adviser to Man City.
Garnacho was excluded from Man United’s pre-season tour of the US and is training away from the first-team squad following the speculation around his future.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “United have created a situation where the player has been told that he’s not wanted.
“He’ll be on probably £100,000 a week for a player of his age. It doesn’t look like he can come back into the team. It doesn’t look like the manager’s got any appetite at all for that, so he’s got to go somewhere.
“But because his wage is more manageable, I think there’ll be a host of clubs that would take him in the worst-case scenario that there were no buyers.
“Chelsea look like they’ve done sufficient work with the agent so that he only wants to go to Chelsea, so that’s great for Chelsea because they’re just holding all the cards and can just wait.
“They don’t need him immediately. They can wait until the last day of the window, and chances are they’ll pick him up on a sort of deal that they did for Sancho, but probably with a fee agreed.
“I doubt they’d have the ability to give him back, but I think they’ll probably end up with him for £30-35million.
“There are no other buyers. If they have removed any other option from the deal, which it seems that they have, United can talk about him being worth whatever they like, but the reality is that United want to sell and there’s only one buyer.
“If that’s where it gets to, he’ll end up at Chelsea for a lower than perfect fee.”

Chelsea told what it will take to sign Morgan Rogers
In terms of another potential incoming at Stamford Bridge, Football Insider revealed on 2 August Aston Villa are set to demand in excess of £80million for Morgan Rogers amid growing interest from Chelsea.
The 23-year-old is seen as the “dream signing” for the Blues, who have been keeping a close eye on his progress at Villa Park after a successful season under Unai Emery.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 28 July Chelsea had offered a swap deal for Rogers, including cash plus Tosin Adarabioyo and Nicolas Jackson.
However, Villa are extremely reluctant to lose the England international this summer and have no plans to weaken Emery’s side over the coming weeks.
