‘This guy is crazy’ – Man United fans lambast big name after what he did vs Tottenham

Man United fans have expressed their anger at one of their key men following a poor showing against Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.

Man United looked the more likely in the early stages, and Bryan Mbeumo gave them the lead just after the half-hour mark with a well-placed header from a pinpoint Amad cross.

Tottenham had the ball in the net in the second-half but Brennan Johnson was ruled to be offside, and they did finally find a leveller as Mathys Tel netted six minutes from time.

Ruben Amorim was under pressure at United in the early stages of the campaign, and he will be questioned after this one as Richarlison scored a late header but Matthijs De Ligt rescued them and it ended 2-2.

The draw was ideal after looking so likely to lose, but one Red Devils player failed to impress throughout the clash and was picked out by their fans online for his poor performance.

Matheus Cunha was poor against Tottenham

Matheus Cunha’s £62.5million arrival from Wolves was sealed early on in the summer window, as he had always seemed destined to leave the Molineux outfit following a turbulent end to the last campaign.

The hot-headed Brazil international arrived at Old Trafford with a decent record in the Premier League, but has struggled to translate his form to United colours with just one goal in 11 appearances prior to Saturday’s clash.

He was nowhere near his best against Spurs, with just one shot on goal which was blocked, no chances created all afternoon, just one duel won from seven attempted, and two fouls committed.

It was him who gave the ball away to allow Tottenham to attack and Johnson to score before he was ruled offside, and Amorim had clearly seen enough by then as he took him off in the 72nd minute.

Man United fans fume at Cunha for selfish performance vs Spurs

United fans did not take kindly to Cunha’s bad showing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with many flocking to X to share their views on his apparent selfishness and lack of quality.

One supporter wrote: “Even though Cunha isn’t as technically good as I thought, that’s not really my issue with him. His approach to the game and his selfishness is infuriating.”

Another blamed him for the chance that saw Tottenham put the ball in Lammens’ net, saying: “Cunha will never pass. This guy is crazy. He lost the ball and Spurs score but only offside.”
