This is how Celtic fans reacted to Livingston vs Rangers at Parkhead, it will have Gers in hysterics

Celtic fans have been left with egg on their faces after their team conceded late to fall to a 2-1 defeat at home to Hibernian on Sunday.

The Bhoys found themselves behind in the 24th minute through Felix Passlack, before Benjamin Nygren levelled the game with a header on the stroke of half-time.

Kai Andrews then came off the bench to net an 88th-minute winner for the visitors to stun Parkhead, at the same time as Rangers mounted a late comeback away at Livingston.

Danny Rohl’s side found themselves two goals down against the Scottish Premiership’s bottom club shortly before the hour mark, before late goals from Emmanuel Fernandez and Mikey Moore salvaged a point.

It was a huge few minutes in the context of the title race, and it certainly wasn’t a situation that ended up benefiting Celtic.

Journalist reveals premature Celtic celebrations as footage shared

Rangers were chasing the game from the very beginning against Livingston, as Brooklyn Kabongolo put the hosts ahead just 14 minutes into the clash, before Lewis Smith doubled the advantage in the 56th minute.

At the same time, Celtic were level in their clash, and looking well-placed to draw level on points with their bitter rivals in the race to lift the league title at the end of the season.

However, things quickly turned on their head in the final stages of both games, and footage has now been shared on X that is certainly an embarrassing look for the Celtic faithful.

Reporter Gordon Duncan revealed during his summary on Sky Sports News on Sunday that Bhoys fans inside Parkhead had celebrated the news of both Livingston goals.

“It was a funny day here at Celtic Park,” Duncan said during his report.

“Celtic fans celebrated all the Livingston goals, of course, you couldn’t hear much when the Rangers goals were going in, and then they couldn’t take care of their own job either.”

That is sure to have Rangers fans in hysterics in the aftermath of the games, as not only were they able to end the day having gained some sort of advantage on their city rivals, but they also left them looking very sheepish at full-time.

Hearts to lick their lips ahead of the next round of fixtures

Hearts were the real winners from Sunday’s action, as they watched both of their closest title rivals drop points, after they had already secured their three points the day before.

Islam Chesnokov netted the only goal of the game at Tynecastle as Derek McInnes’ side saw off Falkirk with a 1-0 victory, and they are now four points clear at the top of the table.

The Jambos have seen their once significant lead at the top cut drastically in recent weeks, but they will now be licking their lips at the perfect opportunity to build that back up again ahead of next week.

Rangers and Celtic are set to meet each other at Ibrox on Sunday lunchtime, while Hearts face struggling Aberdeen at home the day before.

McInnes’ men will know that they can pile real pressure on their title rivals by securing another win on Saturday, while also being aware of the fact that at least one of their rivals will drop points the following day.

Last weekend’s results played out perfectly for the Edinburgh outfit, and things could get even better for them if the Old Firm ends in a draw next time out.
