This is how much Everton are paying Jack Grealish – ‘I’ve seen the numbers’
Everton are paying around £225,000 a week of Jack Grealish’s wages during his loan spell from Manchester City.
Everton signed Grealish on a season-long loan deal last week despite interest from several rival clubs.
The deal includes the option for David Moyes’s side to buy the 29-year-old, who is believed to be on around £300,000 a week, for £50million next summer.
Grealish made his Everton debut off the bench in the 1-0 defeat against Leeds United on Monday (18 August) at Elland Road.
Lukas Nmecha’s late penalty secured all three points for Daniel Farke’s side following an alleged handball by Everton defender James Tarkowski.

Everton have made ‘statement’ signing
This article contains exclusive comment from Keith Wyness, former Everton, Aston Villa and Aberdeen CEO.
Moyes is backing himself to rejuvenate Grealish following his loan move from Man City.
The England international, who joined Pep Guardiola’s side for £100million from Aston Villa in 2021, registered 17 goals and 23 assists in 157 appearances at the Etihad Stadium.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness said: “It is a big commitment.
“I’ve seen the same numbers at 75 per cent. It seems to match with what I’m hearing as well.
“How that was paid in terms of loan fees upfront and if there was a cash discount and all those other sort of things come into it.
“It’s a big statement signing and it’s The Friedkin Group saying ‘Look, we’re going to back Moyes with a marquee signing’.
“He’ll settle in. He only came on for about 20 minutes on Monday, but one thing I did notice was already that he won a free-kick and we’re going to be winning lots of free-kicks because I watched him in over 100 games and you win a lot of free-kicks on the left, so we’ve got to develop some techniques for those free-kicks because we’re going to be getting a lot of them going forward.
“But yes, it’s a big statement for a club like Everton to pay £225,000 a week for a player, so let’s hope we get our money’s worth and I’m sure we will.”
