This is what Alan Shearer said about wonderkid tracked by Tottenham for three years

Alan Shearer described Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon as “brilliant” after he scored a brace during their 3-1 win against Newcastle at St James’ Park on Saturday.
Football Insider sources revealed on Tuesday that the teen ace, who turns 17 in May, has been tracked by Tottenham since he was 14, has signed a pre-contract with his current club.
High-flyer Sessegnon is one of the hottest talents currently plying his trade in the Championship and he proved that against the league leaders in their own back yard.
Sessegnon’s ability to drift past players and clinical finishing was on show at the weekend and he could have netted a hat-trick had his teammate not taken away the opportunity for him to take a late penalty.
Nonetheless, Magpies legend, Shearer issued this response to Times reporter Henry Winter who was raving about Sessegnon’s performance at St James’ Park.

Despite mainly playing as a left-back under Slaviša Jokanović this season, Sessegnon has still managed to find the back of the net on a number of occasions.
In 23 Championship, FA Cup and EFL Cup encounters for Fulham this term, he has scored six goals and supplied three assists.
Furthermore, he has started 18 of those fixtures, including three of the club’s last four games where they have picked up a valuable eight points in their race to finish in the top six.
He played on the left-hand side of attack against relegation-threatened Blackburn on Tuesday night as his team recorded a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs are reportedly preparing a £20million-plus bid for this European playmaker.
