This is when Man United may sack Solskjaer amid Romano reveal today – pundit

Danny Mills has claimed Man United may wait until the end of the season to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England defender insisted Solskjaer is not the right man for the Man United job in the long term.

Fabrizio Romano reported today (October 26) the majority of the Man United board are behind the manager and want to give him another chance.

It comes days after their embarrassing 5-0 defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Solksjaer’s side have now won just one of their last seven games across all competitions.

Asked whether he thought the Norweigan was the right man for the job, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “No, I don’t.

“But I don’t think he’s going to get sacked either. I don’t think he’s going to get sacked this season.

“He’s brought in Sancho, Varane Ronaldo. They were getting away with it, performances had been poor.

“People will say they’re top of their Champions League group but it’s more by luck than judgement. Their league position is OK, again, more by luck than judgement. As a manager, you can’t keep on being lucky over and over again.

“Ole’s done OK, he’s a Manchester United legend, are they going to go on and win things consistently under Ole? I don’t think they are.

“At what point do you decide, well ok, stability has now been achieved now we’re going to get that manager to take us to the next level. I don’t think Ole is that man.”
