Everton would be eighth in the Premier League table if Mark Lawrenson got all his prediction after 31 matches correct.

Former Liverpool defender Lawrenson regularly predicts the midweek and weekend encounters for the BBC Sports website.

In his current table, Jurgen Klopp’s side are sitting top of the pack with 22 wins from their 31 matches having suffered zero defeats.

By contrast, their Merseyside rivals are 34 points behind with Lawrenson having predicted 17 draws for Ronald Koeman’s team throughout the campaign.

In reality, Everton are seventh in the table with 51 points to their name while Liverpool are sitting in third on 60 points.

For the up and coming weekend matches, Lawrenson has backed in-form Leicester City to record a 2-0 win at Goodison Park.

Furthermore, he has also predicted his former club to pick up a point at Stoke on Saturday afternoon following their 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

Chelsea are the current Premier League leaders with Antonio Conte’s men seven points ahead of second-placed Tottenham in the table.

Spurs have an outside chance of catching their London rivals as they will be looking to pick up three points against Watford at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will travel to Bournemouth, who will be high on confidence after their impressive point at Anfield.
