This is who West Ham fans should believe amid new takeover updates - pundit
Noel Whelan has told West Ham fans to believe David Sullivan after he delivered the official club take take on fresh PAI Capital takeover claims.
The former Leeds United hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest on the takeover saga.
PAI Capital has effectively ended its Irons takeover bid, as per the Evening Standard on 24 September.
The group claim Hammers part-owner David Sullivan rejected a second approach to buy the club earlier this month, though Sullivan denies any such bid.
In an interview with Hammers News on 27 September, Sullivan claimed that he would be open to new investment in the club.
He revealed the pandemic set the club back £70million with the club also £150million in debt.

Amid conflicting claims over the takeover from both parties, Whelan claims Irons fans must believe their current owner.
“No one knows what to believe,” Whelan told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“The only people who know what’s going on are the possible takeover candidates and West Ham themselves.
“I would be inclined to trust the West Ham owners more. If they were serious and the funds were there, there would have been some progression.
“I don’t think anything more needs to be said. I believe the club and right now, why would you want to sell?
“They are in such a good place on the field. The fans are loving the stadium again, it’s packed and noisy.
“If the buyers were serious we would have seen some progression by now, I’m sure.”
West Ham are currently seventh in the Premier League.
They face Rapid Wien in the Europa League on Thursday night.
